Just getting to know Fablab?

HONFablab offers a personal digital fabrication laboratory where you can work on your own projects, whether for personal purposes, business, tasks, or assignments.

HONFablab is open for projects of a commercial nature. With the rapid prototyping method, you can find more inspiration on how innovative works or products can be developed further here.

At HONFablab, you can work on class projects, conduct researches and discover new things, both individually and collectively.

At HONFablab, you can create your works or projects, conduct workshops, collaborate with other individuals or with HONFablab itself. HONFablab is also an alternative space to hold exhibitions.

Fablab Handy Guide is a simple guideline on preparing your project files before you get started with the machines in the lab. This document was created to optimize your time in the lab.

Workshop | Make Your Own Dress!

We had a workshop on making a dress from scratch. In this workshop, fashion designer Stella Maris taught participants to make their own dress using the Singer Futura sewing machine at HONFablab.

Workshop with ISI

As a follow up to the proposal for collaboration between Indonesia Institute of the Arts (Institut Seni Indonesia, Yogyakarta, Indonesia) and Willem de Koonig University (Rotterdam, The Netherlands), HONFablab held an introductory workshop with students from Indonesia Institute of the Arts, mostly from the Interior Design and Visual Communication Design departments.

Summer Camp Architecture Workshop

Unlike previous weekends, last weekend (22 and 23 September 2012) saw HONFablab full of students from Gadjah Mada University’s Architecture Department. These second- and third-year students were there for a workshop called Summer Camp #01 2012, which were organized by the Gadjah Mada Architecture Department in cooperation with HONFablab (Fablab Yogyakarta).

WIN+PLAY Workshop: Finishing

The last workshop in the WIN+PLAY workshop series for participants was held on 25 May 2012 at HONFablab (Fablab Yogyakarta). We invited Fajar Adityatama from architecture and interior design company Industrial to give a lecture about product finishing.

WIN+PLAY Workshop: Production

HONFablab (Fablab Yogyakarta) held a production workshop for all WIN+PLAY participants from 1 to 31 May 2012 as part of the competition’s workshop series. After exploring their ideas in the Design, Idea, and Brief Workshop in late April, participants from Gadjah Mada University, Duta Wacana Christian University, Indonesia Institute of the Arts, and Sanata Dharma Mechatronics Polytechnic then realized their design into actual window displays.

WIN+PLAY Workshop: Entrepreneurship

As part of the WIN+PLAY workshop series, we held a workshop on entrepreneurship for participants on 30 April 2012 at HONFablab (Fablab Yogyakarta). We invited Denfarino Endo from NuVosis Architecture and Interior and Ratna Djuwita from HONFablab’s Business Division, Desire, to share their experience on running businesses.
